Food on the Corner is a registered society based in Delta that serves the homeless in Downtown Vancouver. We have been serving our guests for over 40 years. Each week we take our van along with volunteers and supplies to serve a hot lunch in the foyer of the courthouse at 222 Main Street. We originally started out as a two man operation and have now expanded into an organization of over 100 volunteers.
We arrive each Saturday morning with 20 litres of homemade soup, trays of sandwiches, hot coffee, and sweets. We have a dedicated group of volunteers that lovingly serves well over 100 people each week with a hot lunch.
Food on the Corner over the years has provided a safe haven to serve our guests in a spiritually uplifting environment. Proverbs 14:31 says “Whoever oppresses the poor shows contempt for their maker, but whoever is kind to the needy honours God.”
